How To

Publish your website to your domain name

You will need to purchase a full Website Builder plan which gives you the option to publish your new website to your domain name. Click on Website Builder above to view our plans. After your full Web Builder plan has been activated, log in to the Website Builder Manager and click Publish. Your new website will be published to your domain name.

Create Email Accounts

  1. Login to your Email & Web Host Manager
  2. Click Email Accounts under the Mail header
  3. Type the first part of the email address in the email field and the password in the Password field
  4. Type the maximum size limit for this mailbox in the Quota field, if required. The size limit is in megabytes. If you don't type in a size limit, your mailbox will only be limited by the available disk space
  5. Click Create

Your new account has now been created - please refer to the Set Up your Email and an email client for checking your email.

Setup Email Accounts

After you have created your new email account, you can now set up your new email on your computer so you can send and receive emails with ease. Click here for step-by-step tutorials.

Create a Catch All Email Account

  1. Login to your Email & Web Host Manager
  2. Click Default Address under the Mail header
  3. Type the email address in the Forward to email address section
  4. Click Change. Your new default email address has now been set

Create Email Forwarding

  1. Login to your Email & Web Host Manager
  2. Click Forwarders under the Mail header
  3. Click Add Forwarder
  4. In the Address to Forward field, type the first part of the email address to be forwarded
  5. Choose the required domain from the drop-down list
  6. In the Forward to email address field, type the full email address to receive forwarded mail
  7. Click Add Forwarder. Your email forward has now been set

Change Email Password

  1. Login to your Email & Web Host Manager
  2. Click Add/Del Email Accounts under the Mail header
  3. Click Change Password next to the required email address
  4. Type the new password in the New Password field
  5. Click Change. Your password for the selected account has now been changed

What happens after my 30 Day Trial?

After your 30 Day Trial you will no longer be able to access or edit your Website Builder, if you want to continue with these services you will need to purchase a website builder plan.

Note: When you purchase a website builder plan we activate your current account so you can continue to develop and publish your existing web site to your domain name or alternatively we can reset your package from scratch so you can start again.

Are there any hidden fees?

There are NO hidden fees with Big Ideas. All possible fees are listed on our plan pages.

Can I have extra pages?

Yes, there are many upgrades options available for the website builder plan.

How do I upgrade my account?

Almost any upgrade to your account can be made instantly by our support team.

How do I backup my Website Builder website?

You will need an FTP client to do that. Some of the most commonly used FTP clients are:

  • CuteFTP
  • Filezilla

Once you have downloaded your FTP client you can open it up, and connect to our FTP host using the following information:

Hostname: ftp.yourdomainname.com
Username: This is your FTP username
Password: This is your FTP password

Once connected, download all your files onto your computer. Please ensure your files are easy to access. Then you can have peace of mind. If something goes wrong with your website, you will still have backup files to help you put your website back up on the Net in no time.

How do I get an SSL for my Website Builder?

If you require a secure area within your Website Builder you will need an SSL Certificate.

How do I renew my Website Builder plan?

If you have received a renewal notice from Crazy Domains, or just want to renew your Website Builder, you can do this on our website. Renewing your Website Builder with Big Ideas is easy. Log into your Domain Manager and click Renew Hosting on the menu to the left.

How to change the ownership of my account?

Changing ownership of an account is a PERMANENT function. You will not be able to change the ownership back once you have made the change.

As you may know, ownership change means to transfer all of the rights and duties of the account to the designated person/entity. To protect your properties, we do not accept the application of ownership change online, by telephone or email.

We need you to fill in and fax back the following documentation. Listed fee's must be cleared before we can process your application. If application is complete you should receive confirmation of completion within 5 business days.
